#40 C \\ LOST IN THAILAND

I am carrying the idea for this post for quite a long time in one bottom area of my brain. It is the idea of publishing some pictures of my beloved friend I shot this year. It was her first time visiting Thailand, her first time visiting Asia and want to convey that using my photographs. 

I want to impart the experience of discovering something new, the freedom each of us feels when we are on vacation and the warmth you can find in Asia not only in the hot weather but in the heart of every local.

'A Travel is the only thing you can buy that makes you richer', right ?

Die Idee dieses Post's schlummert schon seit laengerem in den tiefen meines Unterbewusstseins. Es ist jene euch ein paar der Bilder, welche ich dieses Jahr von meiner liebsten Freundin geschossen habe, zu praesentieren. Sie reiste das erste Mal nach Thailand, das erste mal nach Asien und genau dies versuche ich hiermit einzufangen.

Ich moechte das Erlebnis etwas neues zu entdecken vermitteln, das Gefuehl von Freiheit welches wir alle im Urlaub verspueren und vorallem die Waerme dieses Landes, welche nicht nur im Wetter vorzufinden ist sondern ebenfalls im Herzen seiner Bewohner.

 

 

 

 

#28 WATER

Water. Water everywhere, for everything, from everywhere. We use it, we need it, we like it, do we appreciate it ? Where do you get the water you consume everyday from ? From the tap ? From the supermarket? Sadly, the answer to that question depends on where you live. If you are living in Germany or any other western country the first answer will probably suit you. Tap water. Clean, easy and cheap. If your living in India, Malaysia or another country in south east asia you have to buy your water at the supermarket. No problem, it is definitely affordable. If you are a resident of india I could guess your answer. Maybe you can buy your water, it's almost free. Maybe you can not cope with that output. Maybe you do not have those 8ct to buy clean water. 

So, do we appreciate those significant liquid our water tap offers us every day for 'free' ?

When I travelled through Asia I was almost forced to study the water around me when standing on one of those boats which were taking me from one place through the water. From one place to the other crossing those blanket of fluidity, those endless blue, those unconquerable monster. Looks flat and deep, bright and dark, calm and wild. Sometimes I felt like I could just take a step and walk away above those water, sometimes, I swear, I am almost sure it would carry me. To wherever I wanna go.

#27 KOH PHANGAN 2

As sadly I wouldn't find too much time to keep on wirting these times (no matter how many words are in my mind waiting to get on paper) I just wanna show you some more pictures from Koh Phangan. I really like those as in my opinion they appear pretty peacefull but also kind of radiate those sadisfaction we felt that time. Feel free to leave a comment !

Da ich momentan leider absolut nicht zum schreiben komme, obwohl doch so viele Gedanken in meinem Kopf rumschwirren, moechte ich vorerst ledeglich ein paar mehr der Bilder zeigen die auf Koh Phangan entstanden sind. Ich mag sie unglaublich gerne, wuerde ihre Wirkung spontan als ruhig und friedlich beschreiben, gleichzeitig strahlen sie aber auch diese schoene Art von Zufriedenheit aus die wir dort empfunden haben. Lasst mir gern ein Kommentar da !

#28 GOPRO

I finally sorted out some pictures, I took in Thailand with my GoPro (Hero 4 black edition) that I do like a lot. 

When I startet travelling I wasn't too shure if it was a good buy at all, to be honest. By now I am pretty sure that it has been one of the best investments ever. Beside the obviously fact that you can take stunning videos with it, it is pretty small and handy, easy to use, after all my personal highlight about it is that the screen is missing. It may sounds kind of weird, but I just love that you don't know rather your pictures will look good or bad, light or dark, pretty or ugly. Kind of reminds me of an analog camera, where you also got to wait and hope till you can finally review your pictures.

Well, however, those are my favourites !

Ich bin nun endlich dazu gekommen einige Fotos, die ich waehrend meiner Thailandreise mit meiner GoPro (Hero4, black edition) eingefangen habe, auzusortieren. Meine Favoriten. 

Um ehrlich zu sein, als ich meine Reise antrat war ich sehr unsicher darueber ob sie ihr Geld wirklich wert war. Inwischen bin ich mir sicher, dass es eine meiner besten Investitionen war. Neben dem bekannten Fakt, dass man wunderbare Videos mir ihr aufnehmen kann ist sie angenehm klein, handlich, leicht zu bedienen und was mich persoenlich am meisten ueberzeugt: sie hat keinen Bildschirm. Klingt wohl doch ein wenig skuril, aber ich habe mich in das Warten verliebt. Das Warten und Hoffen darauf, die Bilder seien gelungen. Nicht verwackelt, nicht unscharf, nicht zu dunkel, nicht zu hell. Aber wissen tut man es erst im Nachhinein. Erinnert mich ein wenig an die analogen Kameras von frueher, dieses Warten.

Wie auch immer, hier meine Favoriten !

#26 KOH PHANGAN

 Even though I am quite busy planing my upcoming trip to Australia I'm really exited to share those pictures we took on Koh Phangan. So there you go !

Leider bin ich momentan beinahe ausschliesslich damit beschaeftigt meinen Trip nach Australien zu planen, trotzdem moechte ich die folgenden Fotos nicht vernachlaessigen !

#25 KOH SAMUI

The second island we visited so far was Koh Samui. Even though it is the main season right now we had the pleasure to get to know the less busy part of those piece of earth. Staying at New Hut Bungalows which are at the east cost, watching the wild, & stormy sea on that side, walking around, rent a scooter if we want to see other parts of the huge island. It was perfect for us to just relax, to arrive and to come down. Additionally we had a lot of time to take pictures.

Bye Phi Phi ! Unser naechstes Ziel nannte sich Koh Samui. Und obwohl mometan Hochbetrieb in Thailand herrscht durfte ich diese riesige Insel dieses mal von ihrer ruhigen Seite erleben. Wir belagerten einen der New Hut Bungalows an deren Ostkueste, genossen das dort eher stuermische und wilde Meer, erkundeten die Umgebung mit unseren Fuessen, mieteten uns fuer weiter entfernte Ziele einen Roller. Es war ideal um ein wenig anzukommen, wie man so schoen sagt. Zu allem Ueberfluss hatten wir jede Menge Zeit um Fotos zu schiessen.

#24 KOH PHI PHI B/W

Black and white. Black on white. Black in white, white in black. Not sure if it fits to all of those pictures, but I really wanted to make a part consisting of uncolored pictures as they got their own amazing kind of charme according to me. What do you think ?

Schwarz und weiss. Schwarz auf weiss. Schwarz in weiss, weiss in schwarz. Ich bin ziemlich unsicher bezueglich dieser paar Bilder, wollte aber unbedingt eine Serie mit uncolorierten Fotos veroeffentlichen, da sie meines Empfindens nach ihren ganz eigenen Charme haben. Oder ?
